Line sensors are applied
where precise
positioning is required or where the
dimensions of an object
have to be determined
with high accuracy, e.g.
diameter of a wire.
The laser line sensors
of L -LAS series offer
various operating widths
with a resolution of up
to
1024 pixels. An analog
output (voltage output
and
current output) informs
about position and size
of the object.
Furthermore, a digital
output is available that
offers
information about
quality and position of
the object.
By means of serial
interface RS232
communication
can be done via PC (or
PLC + RS232 module).

Light Barriers with Integrated
Amplifier
The sensors of the FIA series
primarily are used for high
precision trigger applications.
They frequently are used in the
field of stamping technology,
and due to their compact and
sturdy design they generally are
employed in rough industrial
environments.
The laser fork light-barriers of
type FIA-L primarily are
characterized by their high
switching frequency (typ. 10
kHz) and their high
insensitivity to dirt (detection
of smallest parts). The FIA-A
version focuses on a high
positioning accuracy, and the
temperature-compensated analog
output provides a voltage
that is proportional to the
aperture‘s degree of covering.
Various rectangular apertures
are available.
